Amanda and Mike reached out to us about a month before their wedding, and we were super excited to still be available on their day! Their wedding day was on my birthday, and Stevie and I had been planning to take a little trip to the beach or something that weekend to celebrate. They day before they reached out though, we had decided against it and opted to instead have a staycation and get out and explore Nashville (something we don’t do often enough). It felt a little like fate when they booked us the very next day. And even more like fate when we met up with them over coffee to chat about wedding plans. I think Jesus knew we needed to be friends. We instantly felt so comfortable and connected with them, and we had a fun time talking about board games, our cats, home renovation nightmares, and (of course) their upcoming wedding!
Amanda and Mike’s wedding day was intimate, moving, and full of love. Every aspect of the day felt like it had their family and friends fingerprints all over it – their dear friends opening up their home and backyard to host the ceremony, treasured items like a wind-chime displayed to honor and remember Amanda’s mom, a gift of rocks in the shape of hearts that Mike and Amanda kept in their pockets the whole day, and the way their ceremony and reception were so personal and reflected what’s important to them.
I hope you enjoy some of our favorite shots from their beautifully sweet wedding! Amanda and Mike, we wish you nothing but the best, most adventurous love story, and we’re so thankful to have met y’all.
XO,
Sara-Lane
