who we are

I have been meaning to share the rest of my photos from my trip to New York City – and finally here they are! Since I didn’t bring my Canon out but maybe one day (Lug a dslr around for miles and miles of walking for 14 hrs? Sounds fun but no thanks…) you will also be seeing some iPhone 5 + 6 photos mixed in.

I had never been to New York before, and my time there was definitely one full of memories. From visiting many incredible sights, the touristy landmarks & local gems, that I had always dreamed of seeing to prolonging my stay in a Queens hospital for 3 nights – this trip is one I’ll always remember.

I feel like most major trips I go on, they end up being very unique, not what I was expecting, and give me a different perspective on the people I’m around and the place I’m in. Liiiike – I didn’t expect to be sooo exhausted and tired from all the walking. I just couldn’t imagine how big the “apple” actually was until I was there in it, feeling like a tiny little ant, and how long it took to get from one area to the other. (I mean, dude where’s my car.) And I had also always thought and heard that people in NYC are rude and even mean. While that may be true of some, my experience in the hospital changed my general thinking on that. My nurses and doctors were awesome and so caring. And they worked tirelessly to make my stay as comfortable as it could be. I like nice peeps.

New York City was amazing. It brought me so much joy, growth, inspiration, moments of feeling so small in the best way, and times of being in pure awe. And it also made me very thankful that I live in Tennessee, and for the home and family I have. Haha. Enjoy the images, and let me know if you have any questions about things we did there, or suggestions for my next trip!

Thanks to Stevie & Brett for taking some of these!
