The Smoky Mountains | Gatlinburg, TN

A couple of months back my sweet friend Rosemary asked us all if we wanted to take a trip to the Smoky Mountains to see what’s called “Synchronized Fireflies” happen. And I think I literally jumped at the chance for a quick weekend getaway. Not only was the firefly (or lightning bug as I say) experience incredible, but we also had a blast enjoying all the wonders of Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge… I know right? Who knew hokey tourist traps could be so freaking fun! Plus the gorgeous view from our cabin, super yummy food, and perfect weather really made this an unforgettable trip. Mostly I’m just thankful for the time spent with wonderful friends! I can’t tell you how much I needed it. And there’s absolutely going to be a Yaycation Part II… gotta go back for those airbrushed t-shirts and henna tattoos!
