Recently Stevie and I drove down to Mississippi to photograph a super special proposal. The extra special sauce being that it was for my brudder Heath and his now fiancé Hannah Ruth. We drove down to Starkville that day, me and Heath sneakily checking each others whereabouts via the Find My Friends app (lifesaver!) along the way. After me and Stevie made our coffee and flower stops, we raced over to the Refuge and started setting up “the spot.” Everything was in its perfect place and we sprinted back to hide with just minutes to spare.
A few moments later, Heath and Hannah Ruth pulled up, got out, and headed down the walk way over the water. Several minutes later we here “Sara-Lane!!!!” I yelled some gibberish back in excitement and me and Stevie took off running. They were standing at the end of the pier, both smiling ear to ear and beaming with joy. After lots of hugging and talking, we started shooting some sweet photos as the sun set.
I told Heath weeks before that no matter how he proposed, it would be perfect because of what it meant and what step it was leading them to. And of course it did end up being a perfect and overwhelming moment, and Hannah Ruth said yes to one of the best guys in the world.
