A few weekends ago, Stevie and I set out for a little weekend hiking and camping adventure with my brother Cale and his girlfriend Kristen. They were both on break from PA and Optometry school (yes, we will always owe them free photos bc of all the medical questions we ask them constantly), and they wanted to come to Middle TN to hang out with us and see some pretty views.
We set out Saturday morning for South Cumberland area (for those curious, this is off 1-24, almost to Chattanooga). Over two days we hiked over 15 miles and saw many beautiful sites. Some were pretty easy hikes, while others we really had to work to get to. We did the Grundy day loop trail, Denny Cove trail, Foster Falls trail, Stone Door, and Laurel Falls. I honestly can’t keep all of them straight in my head but each one was gorgeous. My favorite part was sitting (& sweating) at the bottom of the waterfalls we reached and feeling the mist hit my face. I also loved taking pictures and documenting everything, like always.
Saturday night we camped at Foster Falls campground, cooked hot dogs and marshmallows, hung out (literally) in our enos and played 20 questions. It was a blast. I love spending time with my brothers and their gals and finding fun things to do together. Next time we’re glamping though 😉
