I’m still pinching myself over this wedding, y’all. Thanksgiving weekend Stevie and I made our way to East Tennessee and photographed the beautiful (scroll down for proof) wedding of Miami natives Maria and Juan Carlos in the Smokey Mountains. Maria and JC are some of the sweetest people – so welcoming, so laid back, and so emotional about getting married. They were a joy to work with. They and their families treated us with such respect and sincerity (it was really refreshing), and we could tell how excited they all were that we were there.

Maria and JC visit Gatlinburg often and have made a tradition of spending Thanksgiving in the Smokeys so it was a wonderful backdrop for their holiday wedding. They put so much heart and soul and sweat into making their wedding what it was – absolutely perfect. There were more happy tears at their wedding than we’ve ever seen before, and also the most impressive dance moves too (video proof coming soon!).
