This past weekend we took a quick trip to Colorado for Memorial Day weekend . It was my (Sara-Lane’s) first time to not just Colorado but out west in general. The views were truly breathtaking (which could have been because of the thin air) and unlike anything I had experienced before. We spent most of our time in Colorado Springs horseback riding through Garden of the Gods (shoutout to our sweet horses Brutus and Tiny) and then trekked (by car, still felt like quite a trek) up Pike’s Peak. We got to mile 16 until the snow kept visitors from going any further. It really was incredible looking out our hotel window in downtown Denver and being able to see the top of the mountain that took us 3 hours to get to. I live for those moments of feeling so small, in the best way. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to go back!
